Affordability Calculator

Our affordability calculator was designed to help people gain perspective regarding the economic burden that is associated with obesity. This disease ravages your health, your esteem, your career opportunities, your social relationships, and your bank account. Research has proven that obese and overweight people spend a disproportionate amount of their resources on a variety of items including; food, clothing, transportation, entertainment, medical care, and attempts at wellness. Our calculator makes some assumptions based on our extensive experience with prior weight management patients. For example, we typically see a 70-80% reduction in required medication within 90 days of initial treatment. In our calculator, we extend the treatment program (including all medical and food costs) to 6 months and assume that for that period and the maintenance period to follow, prescription and other out-of-pocket medical care costs will be reduced by 50%. National averages for some of these known expenses have been listed. Please take the opportunity to value your health status with the affordability calculator below.
